With my own son, I had the pleasure of attending his first-ever under-7s grassroots tournament this weekend. What an eye opener 馃く. But one thing stood out for me and made me write this blog - the presence of scouts. Utterly pointless...let me explain the issue and how we as parents can guard against this madness.
Don't panic if your child is not in an academy - do this
There is as much chance of the worst player at that under-7s tournament becoming a professional player when they turn 18 as the best player on the day.
