Over the past week or so, the Football Observatory has released additional research on the minutes played by under-21 players at professional football clubs. When a parent mentioned this new report to me, it was like Christmas day for me馃槀!
The report highlights the clubs currently competing in 50 top divisions worldwide, where footballers who had not yet turned 21 have played the highest percentage of minutes in domestic league matches over the last five years.
